What video formats can I rotate?
You can load MP4 and virtually any common video file your browser accepts (MOV, WebM, MKV, AVI and more). The rotated result is always saved as an MP4 file so it plays reliably everywhere.
Is my video uploaded to a server?
No. This tool runs 100% in your browser using ffmpeg.wasm. Your video is processed entirely on your own device and is never uploaded, so it stays completely private.
What rotation options are available?
Three options: 90° clockwise, 90° counter-clockwise, and 180°. The 180° option flips the video fully upside down, which is ideal for footage recorded the wrong way up.
Will rotating reduce the quality of my video?
Rotating requires re-encoding to MP4, so there is a small quality change, as with any editor. The tool uses sensible defaults to keep the result close to the original while producing a widely compatible MP4.
Why does it download about 30 MB the first time?
The ffmpeg.wasm video engine (roughly 30 MB) downloads once so all processing can happen locally in your browser. After the first run it is cached, so later rotations start much faster.
Is there a file size or length limit?
There is no fixed limit, but because everything runs in your browser, very large or very long videos use more memory and take longer. For big files, use a device with plenty of free RAM.
