Frequently asked questions
Is this a legally binding digital signature?
No. This tool adds a visual image of your signature onto the page — it is not a cryptographic, certified, or tamper-proof e-signature. It has no encryption or digital certificate, so use it for informal or visual signing, not for legally certified documents.
Are my documents uploaded anywhere?
No. Your PDF and your signature are processed entirely on your device with in-browser JavaScript. Nothing is ever sent to a server, so your files stay 100% private.
How do I create the signature?
You can draw it directly on the signature pad using your mouse, trackpad, or finger on a touchscreen, or upload a signature image as a transparent PNG so only the ink shows over the page.
How do I position and resize the signature on the page?
Click or drag on the page preview to drop the signature where you want it, drag it to move, and drag the small blue corner handle to resize it. The aspect ratio is kept so the signature never looks stretched.
Can I sign a specific page or a rotated PDF?
Yes. Enter the page number to render that page, then place your signature on it. Rotated pages (90°, 180°, or 270°) are supported — the signature is mapped so it sits the right way up on the final PDF.
What file formats can I use for the signature and output?
The document must be a PDF, and an uploaded signature must be a transparent PNG (a drawn signature is saved as PNG automatically). The result is a new PDF saved with a -signed suffix, and the original quality is preserved.
