Frequently asked questions

Which image formats can I convert to PDF?

Any image your browser can read, including JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF and BMP. JPGs are embedded directly, while other formats are re-encoded to PNG before being placed in the PDF — all locally.

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. The PDF is created entirely in your browser with pdf-lib, so your images never leave your device and nothing is uploaded or stored.

In what order do the images appear in the PDF?

Images follow the order shown in the file list, from top to bottom. To change where an image lands, remove it and add it back in the position you want.

What does the page fit option do?

Fit image sizes each page exactly to its image. A4 or Letter centers and scales each image to fit a standard page, with any leftover space shown in white.

What happens to transparent PNG areas?

On an A4 or Letter page, transparent areas appear white because the page background is white. Choose Fit image to keep each page exactly the size of the image.

Is there a file size or page limit?

There is no fixed limit — you can combine as many images as you like. Very large or numerous images use more memory, since everything is processed in your browser.
