Yes. When you pick a folder, each file's relative path (for example photos/2024/a.jpg) is used as its path inside the archive, so subfolders and nesting are recreated exactly. Individually dropped files are stored by their file name only, without folder paths.

What file types can I zip?

Any file type. A ZIP archive can hold images, PDFs, documents, videos, audio, code — anything. Files are packed as-is, so their contents are preserved exactly.

Is there a size or file-count limit?

There's no fixed limit, but the whole folder is compressed in memory in your browser, so very large folders (many GB) can be limited by your device's available RAM. For typical folders it works quickly.

What happens if two files end up with the same path?

The tool automatically makes each path unique by inserting (2), (3) and so on before the file extension, so no file is silently overwritten inside the ZIP.

Why is the download named folder.zip?

The archive is always saved as folder.zip. You can rename it after downloading. The summary shows the number of files and the original versus compressed size.
